Chicago, Illinois USA. As the largest independent pump reengineering aftermarket company in the world, Hydro's has provided engineering expertise, pump repair, and support services to the industry since 1969.

Job Summary: Responsible for writing original content and proofreading for company website, quarterly newsletters and email marketing material. Produce and publish digital content using WordPress and/or other CMS as well as email marketing campaign software. We are looking for a solid writer/editor with strong attention to detail, who is technically savvy and reliable.

Candidate will be working in a manufacturing industry as part of the Marketing team and must be able to gain an understanding our company culture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops high quality, story-driven, engaging content that speaks to our customers and promotes our capabilities including case studies, brochures, internal newsletters, marketing materials and website pages.
• Maintain editorial calendar and collaborate closely with our marketing specialist and the sales management team across all locations
• Write and edit communication pieces. Fact-checks and proof copy.
• Maintain adherence to company voice and style and effectively convey in publications
• Use WordPress or alternative CMS to manage and publish web content
• Work with other departments in collaboration of mutual or cross-function efforts
• Respond in real time to issues and involve other departments, as needed, in determining proper action and response
• Develop specific plans and goals to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• BA in English, Communications, or similar field desired Minimum 3 years ‘experience in technical writing and editing in an OEM/ manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in clear and concise written and verbal communications;
  able to convey information effectively and creatively.
• Strong capacity for problem-solving;
  able to approach and resolve a variety of issues

• Fast learner;
  able to quickly learn and assimilate to company culture, new system functions and protocol.
• Ability to use proper punctuation, grammar and spelling in written communications
• Knowledge and/or experience of traditional and digital marketing best practice.
• Functional knowledge and experience with WordPress and/or other CMS.

Manufacturing Associations and/or journalism experience a plus.
